With 18 years of experience in educational leadership and management, Akef joined INJAZ Al-Arab in 2005 as Deputy Regional Director and Chief Operating Officer. Akef has been instrumental in providing operational support to INJAZ member nations, including expansion, fundraising, capacity building, and networking. Prior to joining the regional team, Akef led the Marketing & Communications Department at INJAZ Jordan. He has also worked with the Ministry of Water and Irrigation as Head of the Private Office. In addition to his work with INJAZ AL-Arab, Akef is a partner in a medical supplies private venture and food business. He holds a BA in Archaeology from Mu’tah University.
