Consultant, Camfed
András is a physician (internist, cardiologist) with a ten years clinical career in a university clinic setting in the past. He has later joined the pharmaceutical industry (Merck & Co.) where he has held leadership positions for 23 years in the medical and drug development area. Most recently, he was responsible for clinical research in 27 European countries, before that in a region including CEE, Russia, Turkey, Middle East & Africa. He has retired from Merck at the end of 2012 in order to be able to turn to international development in a role where he can utilize his experience.
András started to work as a Consultant of Camfed International as of February 2014. He is currently supporting Camfed with conceptualizing, planning and implementing research studies do demonstrate the social impact of Camfed's work in enabling the education of rural girls and young women in conuntries of Sub-Sahara Africa.
