Biography

David Beard has been a foreign correspondent, an editor, a reporter, an instructor and a digital strategist and leader. He is currently Executive Editor of pri.org, the fast-growing digital site for Public Radio International and its host of news shows, which include PRI's The World, Boston Calling (in conjunction with the BBC), The Takeaway, Studio 360, Science Friday, Living on Earth and Innovation Hub, among others.

Previously he was director of digital content at The Washington Post, editor of Boston.com, an assistant managing editor of the Boston Globe and deputy editor in chief of the National Journal. He served overseas in Argentina and the Caribbean Basin as well as New York for the Associated Press.

He also has been an instructor at the Harvard Extension School and an Inter American Press Association scholar.
