Regional Chief Executive Officer, American Red Cross, Western Washington Chapters
Dawn (Lindblom) Angelo is the Regional CEO for the American Red Cross in Western Washington, serving 3.5 million people by providing disaster relief and community preparedness. Prior to the American Red Cross she worked for Catholic Charities Minneapolis/St. Paul and Volunteers of America Minnesota.
As a 2000-2001 Fellow for the Corporation for National and Community Service, she studied new approaches to engage and recruit aging Baby Boomers for volunteer service, and in 2002, studied with Dr. Margaret Wheatley to conduct research for her thesis "Building Community through Local Leaders". She also had a lead role developing Minnesota's first-ever collaborative program on "Advocacy Leadership for Vital Aging", a certificate program through the University of Minnesota - College of Continuing Education.
