Biography

Eugene Amusin is Senior Vice President at Citi Inclusive Finance, based in London.

Eugene works with pioneering companies who are improving the lives of millions of people in emerging markets by expanding access to livelihood services including agricultural inputs and markets, renewable energy, education, healthcare and access to finance. Enabling these companies scale is rewarding because of the transformative and scalable effects they are having on low-income communities.

Eugene has led a number of innovative transactions including the first microfinance carbon credit financing, first microfinance IPO on the London Stock Exchange and mobile collections solutions for smallholder farmers.

He has 15 years of product management, technology and customer relationship experience with Citi. His product background extends from cash management and securities to credit structures and foreign exchange.

In addition to his role at Citi, Eugene is Chairman of Financial Inclusion Forum UK, an industry association and convening platform of UK-based stakeholders in financial inclusion globally and a judge at the Ashden Awards which highlight renewable energy solutions around the world.
