Biography

Franz Gómez, VP for Latin America at Fundación Capital, a pioneer in inclusive finance and a testing ground for innovation in asset-building, is a microfinance and rural finance specialist with broad experience in technical assistance for government entities, regulatory bodies and financial institutions in the design and implementation of financial inclusion policies. He has previously worked as a financial examiner at the Superintendency of Banks in Bolivia and as a consultant and researcher for numerous public and private entities including the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB), Calmeadow, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and USAID. He graduated with a degree in Economics from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in Bolivia and holds a Masters in Economics and a Ph.D. in Development Economics from The Ohio State University.
