Director of Family Health, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Dr. Gary L. Darmstadt leads the Family Health Division of the foundation, comprising the Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH), Family Planning, and Nutrition strategic project teams. He joined the Global Health Program at the foundation as Senior Program Officer for Newborn Health in February 2008 and became Team Lead for Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) and Interim Deputy Director of Integrated Health Solution Development in October 2008. He is also an active member of the Global Health India team.
