Biography

Jacqueline Geis is the Chief Executive Officer of Videre. In this role, she sets the vision and the direction for the organisation and its efforts to document human rights violations and ensure greater accountability for these crimes. Prior to assuming this role in 2019, Jackie served as Videre's Chief Operating Officer for four years.

Jackie has over 20 years of external relations, coalition-building and operations experience in internationally-focused organizations. Before joining Videre, she worked at the world-renowned think tank, the Brookings Institution, where she developed a research thread on displacement and transitional justice while serving as the Foreign Policy program's government and foundation relations director. Jackie has managed clean energy partnerships for the U.S. Department of State and coordinated the handover of war crimes cases from the U.N. International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia to national courts. A graduate of Georgetown University and Mount Holyoke College, she has also held positions at the American Bar Association's Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative and in the US Senate.
