Biography

Jen’s role at the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves has been to develop and implement the Alliance's strategy to increase investment in the clean cooking sector. Jen has worked with investors to understand the barriers to their engagement in the sector and developed a suite of innovative financial products to enable clean cookstoves and fuels enterprises to grow their businesses and become more investment ready. Using grants and other forms of soft and patient capital the Alliance is preparing a pipeline of opportunities for investors through supporting innovation, building capacity and financing growth. Prior to joining the Alliance Jen worked for Shell where she held global roles working on climate change strategy and Shell’s Access to Energy community investment program. Jen holds a M.Sc. in Chemistry from MIT. The Alliance's mission is to save lives, improve livelihoods, empower women, and protect the environment by creating a thriving global market for clean cookstoves & fuels.
