Jessica Breitfeller

REDDX associate, Forest Trends Association

Biography

Jessica Breitfeller is an Associate with the Forest Trade and Finance Program's REDD+ Expenditure Tracking Initiative (REDDX), working with the project's Latin American partners and government collaborators to collect information on REDD+ funding and implementation.

Prior to joining Forest Trends, Jessica worked for several international conservation and development nonprofits, both in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, CA. She has conducted extensive fieldwork in Central America on a broad range of topics including, community-based ecotourism, voluntary carbon offset projects, and indigenous rights and land tenure.

Jessica holds dual MAs in International Affairs from American University's School of International Service and in Natural Resources & Sustainable Development from the United Nations mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. She also received a BA in Anthropology and Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.
