Josh Kwan

Biography

Josh finds joy in helping entrepreneurs build businesses and nonprofits that create enduring value. He is a Partner & Co-Founder of Praxis, a creative engine for redemptive entrepreneurship. Praxis is catalyzing a community of entrepreneurs and funders who are compelled by their faith to spend their lives building ventures that matter for the future of society. Through our accelerator programs, we work with high potential businesses and nonprofits, and through our educational arm, we seek to expand the imagination and souls of the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Previously, Josh was the Director of International Giving for the David Weekley Family Foundation, where he conducted due diligence on innovative social enterprises and guided portfolio organizations to scale their impact; he continues to advise DWFF on grantmaking and impact investing. He served on the executive committee of the Big Bang Philanthropy Group.

Josh is a founding board member of Village Schools International, which has started more than 30 high schools in Africa, and a co-founder of Abide, a mobile app for prayer and meditation.

A former journalist, Josh has been published in The San Jose Mercury News, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, and Stanford Social Innovation Review. He graduated from Harvard and earned an MBA from Northwestern. He lives with his family near San Francisco.
