Maria is the Founder of RaiseMoves.com, a firm that offers step-by-step fundraising coaching and consulting to help entrepreneurs attract investment with clarity, confidence, and conviction.
Prior to RaiseMoves.com, Maria spent her time on a handful of ventures: (1) co-founding LivelyHoods, a last mile distribution network that employs youth and women to distribute clean-energy products across East Africa; (2) writing and producing EUROTRUMP, a political documentary acquired by Vice and Hulu; and (3) launching a direct-to-consumer apparel brand with fair-trade manufacturing operations in Liberia.
Maria holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, where she attended as a Skoll Scholar, and a BA from UCLA, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Her work has been featured in The Guardian, Forbes, The Observer, The Hollywood Reporter, The New York Times, PBS, The Financial Times, and Fast Company.
