Mike Jobbins

Biography

Mike Jobbins is Director of Global Affairs at Search for Common Ground, a leading conflict transformation organisation spanning 35 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. He leads Search’s policy engagement with U.S., European, and multilateral partners on thematic issues including Violent Extremism, Business and Human Rights, and responses to country-specific crises.

He previously was Search's Program Manager for the Africa Region, where he oversaw the development of the organisation's strategy and launch of programs in response to crises in the Sahel and Nigeria, state collapse in South Sudan and CAR and the elections crisis in Cote d'Ivoire. He previously served with Search in central Africa, managing emergency, governance, and security sector reform programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Prior to joining Search, he worked on African affairs at the Woodrow Wilson Center. He has an MA from Georgetown and a BA from Harvard.
