Biography

Sara Agah Franti, an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, was inspired by her experiences and seeing the complexity of illness and healing first hand, to create the Do It For The Love Foundation with her husband, musician Michael Franti. Bringing the world of music and healing together, the Do It For The Love Foundation provides live concert experiences to adults in ends stages of life threatening illness, children with various challenges, as well as wounded veterans. Sara is an active Board Member and the Chief Strategy Officer. Since being founded in late 2013, the Do It For The Love Foundation has granted over 700 live concert experiences.

In addition to her work in health and healing, she is also the owner and creative director of SaraLua Designs (LUA) a sustainable jewelry line that is meant to inspire individuality, be made from sustainable and recycled materials that are good for the planet, and encourage the wearer to live free.

Sara is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of others. Her passion has driven her to pursue her Masters in Public Health, which she hopes to use as a platform to concentrate on health promotion and policy change. Her work, life, and play are influenced by her mantra "Be your best. Serve the greater good. Rock out wherever you are!”
