Chief Executive, Action on Disability and Development
Tim has been CEO of ADD International since 2010. He will shortly be leaving ADD to take up a new role as the Chief Executive of WaterAid UK.
Prior to ADD and a two year stint as Director of the English Regions for the Equality and Human Rights Commission in the UK, he held a range of senior roles with Oxfam and VSO, running programmes in East Asia, living in the region for over 6 years – first in Beijing later in Bangkok.
Tim began his career working, for 8 years, in the UK for British Airways after completing degrees in Maths at Cambridge and a Masters in Operational Research at Lancaster.
Tim is the current chair of Bond, the overall consortium of UK international development agencies and previously sat on the board of the International Disability and Development Consortium, a global alliance of key disability organisations. He also co-chaired Bond's Disability and Development Group for 3 years.
Outside of his international development work, Tim has been a school governor locally, sings in a choir and, when time permits, removes the larger weeds that grow between the vegetables in his allotment. He lives in Oxford with his wife and two daughters.
