Throughout my path as a system change entrepreneur, I have had the privileged to work in many different areas of social change, having been both at the receiving end of financial support and acting as a supported and investor. In my 20s, honing on my training and practice as a lawyer, I spearheaded successful national justice reform in Ecuador and simultaneously I was part of the core leadership that grew Transparency International into an anti-corruption global force. Later, I served for six years as the leader of Ashoka’s largest global program, identifying and supporting social entrepreneur with innovative system change ideas. At Ashoka, I also created the Rural Innovation and Farming Program with support from The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. I am particularly motivated to connect with and understand the perspective and needs of other social entrepreneur tackling intractable social problems at a large scale. Currently, as a facilitator of the Skoll Community, I am working along with my colleagues supporting social entrepreneurial organizations pursuing large-scale system change.
