Bahiyah is the CEO + Founder of VC Include, a platform designed to build and support diverse, institutional grade emerging managers in Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Impact Investment. Our mission is to increase the number of diverse asset managers that manage just 1% of the $70Trillion of assets under management in the U.S. This represents a clear market opportunity to support women and diverse managers in alternative investments; we showcase those opportunities.
Since 2018, VC Include has built and convened a growing ecosystem of diverse fund managers, LPs and partners in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Washington D.C. and Chicago. These intimate gatherings are designed to create meaningful, long-term relationships, while creating a more diverse pipeline of asset managers. The LPs in our network care about returns, impact and inclusion around gender, ethnicity, sexual identity and race, and new market opportunities that generate alpha. We have recently designed programs that allow innovative asset allocators to invest capital into diverse asset managers with a unique layer of risk mitigation.
Bahiyah has led multiple technology, investment, and social impact initiatives and public-private partnerships in the US, Brazil and across Sub-Saharan Africa since 2001. These collaborations and investments have been recognized over the years by the Knight Foundation, Echoing Green, Entrepreneur, CNN and Forbes. She was born in Palo Alto, California, and was raised and educated around the themes of science, technology, and equity.
