While researching models that would teach and inspire students to drive permanent improvement in the lives of others, Debbie was inspired by social entrepreneurship and the work of the Foundation.
Debbie Santos joined the Skoll Foundation in 2016. As Senior Director of Finance, she is responsible for the accounting, budgeting, and treasury work of the Foundation. She ensures that our finance processes and policies are efficient and effective and help to support our mission.
Debbie comes to the Foundation after six years as Chief Financial Officer at an all-girls private high school where she managed the accounting, facilities, legal, security and human resources functions. Prior to that, Debbie spent six years with a large accounting firm where she primarily worked with non-profit organizations. Debbie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics from UC Davis and a Masters in Business Administration from CSU, East Bay.
