Biography

Edith Violet Naisubi is a Ugandan studying a Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration at Ashesi University, Ghana as a Mastercard Foundation scholar. She is a founder of Ashesi Wiki Club: a club that aims at promoting African content online by creating articles and uploading images about Africa on Wikipedia. Edith is also a co-founder of AgriSan: a social enterprise that aims at boosting agriculture, improving sanitation, and reducing perpetual poverty in Uganda. Edith is passionate about philanthropy and reducing human suffering. She is interested in open source movement, psychology, digital marketing, writing, and transformative leadership. Edith participated in the 2018 Mastercard foundation Summer School in Transformative leadership at the University of Edinburgh. She is also a Clinton Global Initiative fellow and a Clinton Global Initiative University campus representative at Ashesi University. Before joining Ashesi University, Edith worked as a sales agent with two telecom companies in Uganda; Africell and Uganda Telecom Ltd. At Ashesi, Edith is a Baobab ambassador; Baobab is a platform that connects all Mastercard foundation scholars in the world. She also manages the Ashesi Page on Baobab. Currently, Edith is a resident assistant and she previously worked with the Ashesi Library and the Ashesi Design Lab as a work study and Data Entrant respectively.
