Mary Renwick

Biography

Mary Renwick is passionate about getting people living in poverty the water they need to live healthier, more productive lives and sustain the environment. For more than 20 years, Mary has developed and implemented a wide range of water resource programs and initiatives in 16 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and in the U.S. and with a number of Native American tribes. Since 2005, Mary has led Winrock International's Water Innovation Program, growing the program from its inception to an established portfolio with implementation programs in seven countries and over 60 staff. She has served as a visiting Fellow at the Cornell University's Institute for International Food, Agriculture and Development and as Fulbright Visiting Professor at Khon Kaen University. Prior to Winrock, Mary was a senior fellow in water policy and economics and an adjunct professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota. She holds a Ph.D. and MS in applied economics from Stanford University, and is the author of more than 25 books, peer-reviewed articles and papers.
