Rebecca Okelo is the Program Lead and Founder of Med25, a program focused on providing sustainable access to quality and affordable health care through the development of local social enterprises. A nurse and MBA by training, Rebecca combined her clinical and business training to develop two self-sustaining local entities in Ghana and Kenya using community-based social enterprises to create sustainable sources of funding for high quality health care and social services for the communities in which they are located. Both of these programs continue to operate as independent, locally-managed entities in the communities where they are based. In 2017, Med25 transitioned all operations to VillageReach, based on their shared mission of ensuring access to quality health care at the last mile, their commitment to social enterprise, and VillageReach's proven ability to scale and replicate innovative, high impact programs. Rebecca is now leading a multi-country effort to further test and replicate the model developed through the work in Ghana and Kenya.
