Rob Schneider is the Division Chief for Global Partnerships within USAID’s US Global Development Lab, and has been with the Global Partnerships team since 2008. He leads the office's work on social enterprise and entrepreneurship, including the PACE initiative, and is also the USAID Relationship Manager for Wal-Mart. Rob has worked at USAID since 2005, where he was hired as a Presidential Management Fellow and initially worked on local economic development and housing issues. He also spent six months on detail at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) with the Small and Medium Enterprise Financing division. Prior to USAID, Rob managed company-wide procurement processes and construction programs for a wireless telecommunications carrier, and worked as a manufacturing engineer. Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, Rob has an MBA and Masters of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois. He and his wife live with their two sons in the District of Columbia.
